Can you trust reviews about attractions on Google Maps?

In general, yes, and you can even find some useful information about visiting a specific place there. We ourselves often use Google Maps as a source of fresh information before visiting. But you need to understand that you cannot trust reviews 100%, because they are written by people who often write subjectively and very often make mistakes due to lack of geographical knowledge. Unfortunately, we have encountered hundreds of unreliable reviews about a place when tourists apparently simply confused places, i.e., they leave a review about a completely different similar place. This, of course, is very confusing, so always approach reviews with a degree of criticism and do not rely on one or two, but read more of them. And be sure to set the sorting by date to read the most recent reviews first, not those written many years ago.
