For a hike on Rinjani, it is important to take warm and functional clothing, as temperature fluctuations are significant: from 0Β°C at night to 30Β°C during the day. The main list includes: trekking boots, a windproof and warm jacket (e.g., membrane or down jacket), a fleece sweater, thermal underwear, trekking pants, a hat, and gloves. Footwear should be broken-in and reliable to avoid blisters on long descents.

Essential equipment includes: trekking poles (help on narrow sections and during descent), a headlamp with spare batteries, knee pads to reduce joint stress, a raincoat, dry bags to protect items from moisture, and a power bank for charging devices. We also recommend taking blister plasters, earplugs for sleeping in noisy camps, and a foil thermal blanket in case of extreme cold.

Do not take unnecessary itemsβ€”the backpack should be light (30-40 liters). Equipment can be rented in Senaru village, but prices are high and quality is often low, so it is better to use your own tested gear.
