How much does a SIM card cost in Bali?

First of all, you need to understand that in Bali, there are roughly two types of SIM cards that tourists can buy: tourist SIM cards (sold at the airport, at street sales points, shopping centers); regular prepaid or pay-as-you-go SIM cards (sold only in official mobile operator offices). Essentially, they are the same thing, but tourist SIMs are offered immediately with a pre-installed expensive package of a large amount of internet and minutes, while a regular SIM can be bought with a minimal internet set for much cheaper, and you can top it up and connect packages of minutes or gigabytes as needed. From our latest experience, the prices are as follows:
- A SIM card at the minimum price in an operator's office for 6GB of internet + 25GB bonus for the first connection, i.e., a total of 31GB – 48,000 rupiah.
- Minimum price at street sales points for a SIM card with 30GB of internet – 200,000 rupiah.
- Minimum price at the airport for 18GB + 22GB bonus, i.e., a total of 40GB – 250,000 rupiah.
Where to buy is up to you, but you can read more details in our guide-instruction on mobile communication and internet here - https://nashaplaneta.net/asia/indonesia/sviaz-internet-indonesia
