Where to exchange money on Phu Quoc?

On Phu Quoc, almost everywhere legal transactions are conducted in the local currency, dong. Foreign currency may only be accepted at some travel agencies and privately. Therefore, you cannot do without local money here. You can exchange any world currency on Phu Quoc without problems, but it is best to bring dollars or euros; the exchange rate for other currencies is lower. Cash rubles are not needed here at all; you won't be able to exchange them at a reasonable rate. Yuan are also accepted, but the rate here, and indeed throughout Vietnam, is less favorable than for dollars or euros.

As for the currency exchange rate on Phu Quoc, this is not a simple issue. We traveled to different areas, checked rates at different exchange offices, and came to the conclusion that exchanging currency here is less profitable than in large cities on the mainland.
