How much does it cost to rent a sun lounger on Koh Larn beaches?

On most equipped beaches of Koh Larn, the standard price for renting a sun lounger with an umbrella is 100 baht for the whole day. This price applies almost everywhere: both on the most touristy Tawaen Beach and on the quieter Thonglang, Samae, Tien, Nual or Ta Yai.
However, there is a nuance. In low season, when there are few tourists, you will almost always pay those same 100 baht. But in high season (from November to April), as well as on weekends and holidays, when the island is filled with vacationers, sun lounger owners often raise the price when demand is high. Sometimes it can go up to 150–200 baht — especially closer to noon, when all the good spots by the water are already taken.
Money-saving life hack: paying for a sun lounger on Koh Larn is not mandatory at all. Entry to all beaches is free, and no one forbids you from spreading your own towel or beach mat right on the sand. This is absolutely legal and allows you to save quite a bit, especially if you came for just one day.
If you do want the comfort of a sun lounger, but the price seems too high, try bargaining — especially if you are renting two sun loungers at once for the whole day. Keep in mind that the toilet on the beach is usually paid (about 10 baht), while a fresh-water shower costs around 50 baht. On wild, undeveloped beaches like Laem Thong Bay or Hat Kurat there are no sun loungers at all — it is better to go there with your own towel.
