There are no direct buses from Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Pattaya, but there are several convenient options with a transfer. The fastest is to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport and transfer there to bus No. 389. A free shuttle bus runs between the airports every 30 minutes, but it is free only for passengers with a boarding pass for departure. For arriving passengers, the shuttle ticket costs 100 baht. An alternative is city buses No. 554 or No. 555 to Suvarnabhumi for 36 baht, taking almost an hour and a half. Then at Suvarnabhumi, look for exit No. 8 on the first floor and take bus No. 389 (from 139 baht) to Pattaya.

The second option is to get to Bangkok's northern bus station Mo Chit, and from there go to Pattaya by big bus or minivan. To Mo Chit you can take a city bus or suburban train (red line) – it will take about 1.5 hours and cost 30–40 baht. From Mo Chit, big buses to Pattaya run every hour from 05:00 to 18:00, ticket from 158 baht. Nearby, across the road from the terminal, there is a minivan station – they also depart frequently to Pattaya and cost about the same.

If you don't want to deal with transfers, you can take a taxi. A trip from Don Mueang to Pattaya will cost from 1600 baht, travel time about 2 hours. It is better to order a car through the Grab or Bolt apps.

A detailed scheme of all routes is in our article How to get to Pattaya on your own. There is a separate section about Don Mueang Airport in the plane section.
