Glass Bridge Wat Khao Tabaek in Pattaya – what is it and is it worth going there?

Wat Khao Tabaek (Khao Tabaek Temple) is an active Buddhist temple on a hill in the Si Racha district, about 40–50 kilometers from Pattaya. The main attraction is the Skywalk glass bridge, about 200 meters long, which connects two hilltops at a height of about 25 meters above the ground. The bridge opened in 2025 and immediately became a popular spot for unusual photos and walks. It offers a panoramic view of the green jungles and the surroundings of Chonburi.

Is it worth going? In our opinion, yes, definitely worth it, especially if you plan to combine the trip with a visit to Khao Kheow Zoo or the Heaven and Hell Temple. Driving 40–50 km just for the bridge might not be worth it – the journey will take 1–1.5 hours, and it may seem long. But if you have already seen the main attractions of Pattaya and want to see something new and unusual, Wat Khao Tabaek is a great option for a half-day trip.

The place is not too hyped yet, there are few tourists, so you can calmly stroll, enjoy the silence and the views. Entrance to the temple grounds and the "Bridge of Wishes" is free, and entrance to the glass bridge costs only 40 baht – it is the most affordable glass bridge in Thailand. For comparison, in Bangkok at Mahanakhon prices start from 800 baht. There are free umbrellas, a toilet, and benches on the premises.
