Where to buy a bus ticket from Pattaya to Phuket and where does it depart from?

If you want to get from Pattaya to Phuket by bus without transfers, this is the only direct route operated by Sawadee Tour. Unlike a plane, it is long (about 17 hours), but cheap: a ticket without luggage costs from 1205 baht. The bus is overnight, departs at 15:00 and arrives in Phuket around 08:00 the next day. This way you not only save money, but also do not waste daylight hours — you can leave after lunch and arrive in the morning, immediately check into a hotel or head to the beach.

Where is the stop? The office and departure point is the Sawadee Tour bus station at: Pattaya 3rd Road, near North Pattaya Road (in central Pattaya). It is easy to find — it is a small building with the company logo. It is better to arrive 30–40 minutes before departure.

How to buy a ticket? The most reliable way is to book in advance on the 12Go.asia website. There you can pay online or choose cash payment at 7-Eleven (an option for those whose Russian cards do not work). Tickets are also sold at the Sawadee Tour office itself — you can buy there before the trip, but it is better not to risk it, as tickets sell out quickly in season. Tourist agencies on the street usually do not sell these tickets.

Where does the bus arrive in Phuket? The final stop is the new bus terminal Bus Terminal-2 on Thepkrasattri Road (see on the map). From there you can get to the beaches by taxi (about 400 baht to Patong) or cheaper — by songthaew with a transfer through Phuket Town. If you plan to move around the island actively, you can rent a motorbike right at the terminal from 250 baht/day.

If the direct route does not suit the time (for example, you want to leave earlier or later), there is an option to get to Bangkok and then transfer to one of the 40 daily buses to Phuket from the southern station Sai Tai Mai or the northern Mor Chit.
