In 2026, entry to Lake Ritsa, located in the Ritsa National Park, costs 700 rubles for adults. Children aged 8 to 12 pay 200 rubles, and children under 8 enter for free. As for excursions, the simplest group trip costs from 1,300 rubles per person, but this does not include the park entrance fee.

If you go on your own, in addition to the entry fee, you will need to pay for parking — 200 rubles per car for the whole day. Parking is about 600 meters from the lake; parking directly on the embankment is prohibited.

At the lake itself, you can rent a catamaran — this pleasure costs from 500 rubles per person for half an hour. Prices are steep, but there is a life hack: if you walk to the end of the embankment, you can bargain and rent it cheaper.

If you don't want to bother with an independent trip, here are the current prices for excursions in 2026:

Cost of visiting Lake Ritsa in 2026
Service type Price (rubles)
National park entry (adult) 700
National park entry (children 8-12) 200
National park entry (children under 8) Free
Group excursion (per person) from 1,300
Parking (full day) 200
Catamaran (per person/30 min) from 500

Group excursions are the most budget-friendly option, but be prepared for many stops at apiaries and cafes with inflated prices along the way. If you want more freedom, it's better to take an individual tour or go in your own car. Excursions to Ritsa can be booked online on trusted sites, for example, Sputnik8.com or Tripster.ru.

Also keep in mind that the trip from Gagra takes 1.5–2 hours one way, so it's best to allocate a full day for the entire route. Don't forget to bring cash — cards are not accepted everywhere, as well as warm clothes, as it is always cooler in the mountains than on the coast.

Please note: swimming in the lake is prohibited, and the water even in summer warms up to a maximum of +17 °C. However, you can ride a catamaran or just stroll along the embankment.
