There is one main passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport and a new satellite terminal SAT-1, which opened in September 2023. The layout of the main building is logical and clear: all zones are divided by floors. Here is how they are organized:

  • Floor 0 (B) — here is the Airport Rail Link (ARL) station, which is the most convenient and cheapest (45 baht) way to get to the city center.
  • 1st floor — transport hall and arrivals hall. You come here after collecting your luggage and passing through customs. Here you will find taxi counters, bus stops, SIM card sales, currency exchange, and car rental.
  • 2nd floor — arrivals hall (sterile zone). You come here directly from the plane and go through passport control.
  • 3rd floor — waiting area, shops, cafes, and restaurants. You can spend time here between transfers.
  • 4th floor — departure area. Here are check-in counters, passport control, and VAT Refund offices.
  • Satellite terminal SAT-1 — connected to the main building by an underground automated people mover (APM), the ride takes 2–3 minutes. Gates in SAT-1 have numbers S101–S128. Passport control and baggage claim upon arrival are in the main terminal.
