During a standard group tour of the Giza pyramid complex, unfortunately, very little time is allocated β€” about 2 hours. This is enough to take a few dozen photos, but too little to soak in the atmosphere of this ancient place.

The bus enters the complex and makes several stops:

  • At each of the three great pyramids (Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure) you can walk around for 15-20 minutes.
  • At the "Panorama" β€” a viewpoint offering the best view of all three pyramids at once. You need to walk 5 minutes on sand or ride a camel for an extra fee.
  • At the Sphinx.

Time flies very quickly, so do not get distracted by pushy vendors and immediately head to the main photo spots. If you want to spend more time on the plateau without rushing, it is better to choose a private tour.
