How to bypass traffic jams on the Dzhubga-Sochi highway via the Shaumyan Pass?

The Shaumyan Pass is an excellent way to bypass multi-kilometer traffic jams on the section from Goryachy Klyuch to Tuapse, especially during the summer season. Many are afraid of this road due to reviews, but in reality it is not so scary.

Here is what you need to know:

• The length of the unpaved road is only 7 kilometers — this is the pass itself.
• The rest of the road is good asphalt.
• The unpaved road is rocky and dusty, but any car, even with low ground clearance, can easily overcome it if you carefully choose the trajectory.
• In dry weather, there are no problems at all. In rain, it can be slippery, but you can still drive through.
