Answer (changed )

Yes, the Hop-On-Hop-Off tourist bus in Kuala Lumpur is worth using if you have limited time (1-2 days) and want to efficiently see all the main attractions without figuring out local transport routes.

Advantages of Hop-On-Hop-Off:

  • Saving time and effort on planning: 22 stops cover 40 key attractions, including the Petronas Towers, Independence Square, Batu Caves (on a special route), and others.
  • Convenience: Buy a 24 or 48-hour ticket β€” and ride all day, getting on and off at any stop. The interval is 20-30 minutes.
  • Comfort and service: Air-conditioned double-decker buses with an open top deck, free Wi-Fi, and audio guide in 9 languages (unfortunately, Russian is not included).

Cost (2026):

  • 24-hour tourist ticket: 66 ringgit (adult), 35 ringgit (child 5-12 years).
  • Children under 5 β€” free.

Who it is not suitable for: If your budget is limited or you plan a long stay in the city, it is more economical and interesting to use regular metro and Go KL buses, which will cost much less.

Tickets can be purchased online on the aggregator Trip.com (they accept Russian cards) or with cash directly on the bus. The time count starts from the first ride.
