Which taxi app is best to use in Kuala Lumpur?

In Kuala Lumpur, it's best to use the Grab app. This is our favorite and most reliable service, which works like Uber. It is used by most locals and tourists.

Why Grab:

• Reliability: There are many cars, and dispatch is usually fast (on average 5-10 minutes in the center).
• Convenience: The app shows a fixed trip price before confirming the order, and there is a cash payment option.
• Safety: All trips are tracked, and the driver's details and car number are known in advance.

Alternative apps:

• Maxim: Theoretically may offer lower prices than Grab, but car dispatch often takes much longer (20+ minutes), and drivers sometimes cancel orders.
• MyCar Passenger app: A local service, but prices are usually higher, and the app may work intermittently.

Pay strictly the amount that was indicated in the app when ordering. Toll road fees are paid separately and are usually added to the final bill. Tips are not required, but you can round up the amount.
