The cost of a taxi ride from Langkawi pier (most often Kuah Jetty) to Pantai Cenang beach is approximately 20-35 Malaysian ringgit (MYR). The price depends on the booking method:
- Via the Grab app: The most cost-effective option. The trip will cost 20-25 ringgit. Install the app in advance and call a car right at the terminal exit.
- From taxi drivers at the port: The price is fixed and non-negotiable. Usually, it's 30-35 ringgit to Cenang. It's better to confirm the cost before getting into the car.
The journey will take from 25 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. If you arrive at Telaga Harbour port, the trip to Cenang will be shorter and, accordingly, slightly cheaper.
