There are no direct flights from Moscow to Koh Lipe island, as the island has no airport. You can only get there with transfers through other cities in Thailand or Malaysia, and the final leg of the journey will always be by ferry or speedboat.

The total travel time from Moscow to Koh Lipe is at least 15-20 hours, but this is under ideal conditions with a direct flight and no gap in the boat transfer, which is practically impossible. In reality, considering connections and waiting times, it is at least 24 hours, and if you factor in the need to rest after the flight in Phuket, for example, it takes 2 days. Everything depends on the chosen route and the duration of connections.

Main route options:

  1. Via Thailand (most often through Phuket or Bangkok):
    • Flight Moscow – Phuket (about 9-10 hours non-stop, 10-18 hours with a layover).
    • Transfer from Phuket Airport to Pak Bara Pier – about 4-6 hours by car/minibus.
    • Ferry from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe – 1.5-2 hours.
    • Total minimum: 9h (flight) + 4h (transfer) + 2h (ferry) + connections = ~15-20 hours.
  2. Via Malaysia (through Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi):
    • Flight Moscow – Kuala Lumpur (about 10-11 hours).
    • Domestic flight Kuala Lumpur – Langkawi (about 1 hour).
    • Ferry from Langkawi to Koh Lipe – 1.5-2 hours.
    • Total: 11h + 1h + 2h + connections = ~15-18 hours. This route can sometimes be faster and cheaper if you catch flight deals.
  3. Via Bangkok and Hat Yai:
    • Flight Moscow – Bangkok (about 9 hours).
    • Domestic flight Bangkok – Hat Yai (about 1.5 hours).
    • Transfer from Hat Yai Airport to Pak Bara Pier – about 1.5 hours.
    • Ferry to Koh Lipe – 1.5-2 hours.

Important: When planning your trip, be sure to account for connection times between flights, possible delays, and ferry schedules, which may change depending on the season (fewer trips in the low season). It is convenient to book ferry tickets and ready transfers from airports online.
