How to use taxis in Da Lat and how much does a trip cost?

Taxi in Da Lat is a convenient and relatively inexpensive way to get around, especially for short trips around the city. You can hail a car on the street, order through the hotel reception, or, more reliably, through mobile apps Grab or Maxim. In the apps, the price is fixed in advance, and you can pay with cash or card.

Approximate taxi fares in Da Lat:

• Pick-up and first 0.75 km — 15,000 dong (~$0.6).
• Every next 0.8 km — 14,500 dong.

Thus, a short trip in the center will cost approximately 30,000 – 50,000 dong ($1.2 – $2). A trip to the airport will cost from 250,000 dong (about $10). There is also motorbike taxi, which costs half as much as a car taxi — you can ride around the city for just 15,000 dong.

For entertainment, you can ride tourist golf carts, which also work as taxis, but be prepared that the price will be 2-3 times higher than a regular taxi.
