What are the hotel prices in Colombo?

Hotel prices in Colombo start from $25-30 for hostels or basic guesthouses, but the quality there is often low. For a normal room in a mid-range hotel, you will have to pay from $40-60, and luxury options cost from $100. The city experiences a shortage of good quality budget hotels, so book in advance.

When searching for accommodation on-site, always bargain – initial prices can be inflated by 2-3 times. Use sites like Trip.com or Ostrovok.ru to compare prices. During the high season (December-March), prices are higher, and available rooms are quickly taken.
