Is it worth going to Colombo with children and where to go with them?

Colombo is not rich in children's entertainment, such as amusement parks or water parks, but there are several places where you can go with children. The only specialized place is the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens, where elephant shows are held and you can see many animals. However, it is far from the center, in the Dehiwala area, and the entrance fee for foreigners is quite expensive β about 17 dollars. You can also visit the observation deck at the Colombo Lotus Tower, but its cost is overpriced, and besides the views, there is little entertainment there. For walks, Viharamahadevi Park is suitable, where children can run around in an open space. In general, Colombo is better considered as a transit point, and for a full-fledged vacation with children, choose other cities in Sri Lanka.
