It is practically impossible to answer this question unequivocally, since the price varies greatly depending on the place of purchase, the type of coffee, and, of course, your bargaining skills if you are buying at the market. But here are the minimum prices for different types of coffee in Vietnam from personal experience:

  • A cup of ready-made natural coffee, black or with milk, from street carts – from 20,000 dong.
  • Ground robusta coffee in a supermarket – from 79,000 dong/500 grams.
  • Ground arabica coffee in a supermarket – from 88,500 dong/200 grams.
  • Robusta coffee beans at a local non-tourist market – 25,000 dong/100 grams.
  • Arabica coffee beans at a local non-tourist market – 38,000 dong/100 grams.

You can use these prices as a reference for searching and bargaining at the market. But let us repeat that these are minimum prices; in reality, at tourist markets and in stores where tourist groups are brought on excursions, prices can be several times higher.
