If it is more convenient for you to watch the map of tides for Athens in the form of a table, then here is the forecast for the next six months with a breakdown for each day. In the line opposite the date you can see the predicted deviations of the water level in feets from the still-water sea level (SWL) for every hour during the day. For convenience, the levels are highlighted in blue (high level) and red (low level).

What do you need to know the tides?

Unfortunately, while you relaxing at the beach resorts there are beaches exists, that are not suitable for swimming at any time. The fact is that during strong low tides the water level on some shallow beaches can drop so low that it becomes impossible to swim. At such moments, the water leaves very far from the coast, sometimes revealing an ugly topography of the bottom, dirt, debris and algae remain. It is less often the other way around, when during high tide the water level rises so much that the beach completely disappears, there is no place even to sunbathe.

Using the schedule and tide forecast chart and tables above, you can check how strong the low and hight tide will be, and at what time their peaks occur.
