Музей естественной истории в Казани Museum of natural history

In our view (authors website) is one of the most interesting museums in Kazan, and one of the few where like children. The exhibition tells about the geological history of Tatarstan, its mineral, fauna and flora.

On the ground floor there is a section about astronomy and the formation of the planet Earth, the minerals and methods of their production. Special attention is given to the "black gold" – oil. The second floor is devoted to wildlife, and here you can see fossils and skeletons of animals. There are skeletons of dinosaurs and mammoths, which is especially popular with the children. But the traditional exhibits, the exhibition is not limited, and offers many interactive , such as: telescope, interactive boards and screens, magnetic puzzles, arheologicheskie excavations etc.

Museum of history of the Kazan state

Музей истории государственности Казани

The Museum tells about the history of tribes and the formation of States on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan from the steppe empires to the modern period. It consists of two floors: on the first interactive exhibition, the second exhibition of artifacts and exhibitions. Traditional exhibits in the form of artifacts is very small, basically the information is presented in the form of maps, films and interactive audio guides in the form of headphones attached to the exhibits.

In General the Museum is small and is not very interesting to a wide range of tourists, unless you are a history buff. Kids here have nothing to do, they start to get bored from the first minute. To add some fun to the visit to the Museum helps the exhibition on the first floor of the Museum, which is accessible for an additional fee when you purchase a basic ticket or separately.

Soviet lifestyle Museum

Музей социалистического быта, Казань Soviet lifestyle Museum

This is one of the most famous museums in Kazan, and probably the most unusual. Here on two floors collected all sorts of objects from the era of the Soviet Union. Among the exhibits of a large number of toys; a couple of Soviet arcade games; the Soviet equipment and cameras; a collection of bottles from beverages produced in the USSR; the clothes you can try on and be photographed, and a bunch of stuff. Almost all items can be touched, a battleship can even play. And don't forget to look at the Soviet toilet, the entrance to which is located on the stairs on the second floor.

In fairness it should be noted that among the exhibits there are those who to the Soviet period are not referred directly. Well, if you are interested or nostalgic feelings for the Soviet period, keep in mind that a visit to the Museum might be a little disappointing, since the tours are not held here, the exhibits are located in a chaotic manner, no signatures.

The Museum of happy childhood

Музей счастливого детства, Казань

Continuing the theme of socialist life in Kazan operates another Museum – the happy childhood. In General, it differs little on the issues from the Museum of the socialist way of life, here also in the collection of objects from the Soviet period that can be touched, to play musical instruments, photograph anything. Is that different in the exhibits themselves, and more inclined to baby goods and toys, and nothing more.

If you have already visited the Museum first, then maybe come here and do not, especially since the price is also quite high. If you decide which of these two museums to go and you have children, you should definitely choose this one, because there are much more toys, and children here will be much more interesting.
