Da Nang attractions, what to see
Unfortunately, da Nang abundance of attractions. In the city you can see the Cham Museum, the Museum of da Nang, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Another interesting bridges of da Nang, especially the night. Other interesting places are outside of da Nang, and to explore some of them and it's better to leave da Nang for a day or two to go and settle there. Among the interesting places outside of da Nang, visit marble mountains (located almost in the city), Bana mountain, Hai van pass, Hoi an town, the my son ruins (Mason), the ancient capital of hue.

Marble mountain (Marble mountains)
The marble mountains are located between Hoi an and da Nang is about 20 kilometres from Hoi an town and a few kilometers from da Nang. Marble mountain on the map.
The marble mountains consist of five stone hills. Before, when everything was covered with water, these mountains were Islands formed from marble. Each of the mountains represents one of the five elements of the universe and has an appropriate name: Thaison (Water), Moxon (Tree), Hooson (Fire), kimchon (Metal) and Choson (Earth). Within the mountains there are natural caves, in and around which were built Buddhist shrines and temples. Mount Thoison today is a popular destination with pilgrims.
Inside some of the caves are dark and may need a flashlight or time to adjust to the darkness after the blinding sun outside. Also in caves inhabited by bats.
For the entrance of the mountain there is a small charge of 15,000 VND (currency of Vietnam) (October 2010). At the entrance you can buy a set of postcards with the map (very beautiful postcards of some beautiful places on the mountains) for 15,000 VND. Card will come in handy while you're exploring the mountains.
At the foot of the mountains are two villages, known for its stone carvers. The most famous is the village of Non Nuoc beach, where you will find many shops with countless figurines, all sorts of figurines, jewelry and even utensils made of marble. So many products made of marble you probably won't find anywhere else in the world. The prices are more than reasonable, but you have to bargain, and sometimes very much. If you choose here any serious sculpture, then right here will be able to arrange delivery by sea anywhere in the world.
To get to the mountains, you can buy a tour at any travel Agency Hoi an, da Nang or other cities nearby. But more interesting and more economical to get there and devote yourself to the study of mountains at least half a day (better to start in the morning, not yet hot). From Hoi an or da Nang to the mountains to get there is very easy: you can use the local bus between da Nang and Hoi an, taxi or use the rented motorcycle. To get from the mountains back to Hoi an, just wait for the bus on the other side of the road.
Cableway and mount Bana (Ba Na)
A 45-minute drive from da Nang at a distance of 40 kilometers to the West is the mountain of the Ban (Ban mountain on the map). The altitude of 1478 m above sea level. The flat top of the mountain. In 1920 there were built French resort. The mountain is known as the second Dalat (Da Lat) or the second Sapa (Sa Pa). Feature of mountains is that during the day the Ban goes through all four seasons: morning is spring, afternoon is summer, evening is autumn, and finally, late in the evening - winter. Clouds only rise until the middle of the mountain and on the top is almost always clear and warm. This place remains a popular place of rest and restoration of health for Vietnamese and foreign tourists, and at the moment inside the mountain creates serious scale amusement Park for children and adults (Bana Hill Fantasy Park). On the mountain you can stay in a hotel, walks to waterfalls and lookouts, go to the temple to see the statue of a seated Buddha with a height of 24 meters, golfing, Spa treatments and much more. In General, this place is definitely worth a visit, but will have to stock up a little more money to get it to see and try.
Here, with a banana (Ba Na), to the top of a nearby mountain Voggue (Vong Nguyet, where are temples and statue of a sitting Buddha), stretched the longest and the highest cable car in the world, listed in the Guinness book of world records (until 2010, now the longest ropeway in Armenia with a length of 5.4 km). Long road – 5042 meters, a height of 1291 meters above sea level. Lift duration is 15 minutes and the price is 300 000 VND.
If you are not staying on the mountain Ban, you can visit this place from da Nang or Hoi an to buy a tour. You can also drive there yourself on a rented vehicle. The cost of day trips from chojna or da Nang from – $30 / $60, but for the ascent on the cable car and all the fun will still have to pay extra.
The Cham Museum (Cham Museum Bao Tang Cham)
Museum of Cham or the Cham Museum was founded in 1915 by the French school of study of the far East and today is the most famous attraction of da Nang among foreign tourists. Here are collected the largest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. To say that this Museum will be interesting for any tourist, is not quite true. Unfortunately there is no audio guide, tours are conducted only in English and French, and without information wandering between drevnimi sculptures not very interesting. The Museum of da Nang (Museum of Danang)
The Museum of da Nang is something like our local history museums. It was re-opened and updated in a new place in April 2011, and has ever since become one of the most interesting places of the city. Here you can see a lot of interesting things and learn about the history of the city and Central Vietnam, but the popularity and fame it is inferior to the Cham Museum, although it should be frankly admitted that it is much more interesting than the last.

How to get there: centrally located in da Nang at 24 Tran Phu Street (the Museum of da Nang on the map). On foot you can reach it from the hotel zone and the beach very far, so it's best to take a taxi or city buses № 5, 7, 9, 12.
The Ho Chi Minh Museum and Museum of the 5th military zone
Like almost every major city of Vietnam, da Nang also has the Museum of the great leader Ho Chi Minh. The Museum traditionally presents documents, photographs and objects telling about the life of the President.
There is also another Museum (Military zone 5 museum or Museums Quan khu 5) dedicated to the defense of the fifth military zone during a confrontation between the French and the American-Vietnam war. The Museum consists of 12 exhibition halls and on the street exposed samples of major military equipment (tanks, planes, artillery, etc.) of French and American manufacture.
While every Vietnamese is my duty must be considered to visit the Museum of the great leader, for tourists, this Museum seems to be little interest. But the Museum of the fifth military zone more interesting to a wide range of tourists and is definitely worth a visit.

Ruins of my son (My Son sanctuary)
It is a Museum under the open sky on the site of the ancient city of Champa state listed in the list of UNESCO world heritage. Here you can see the ruins of 17 churches and towers of XIII-XIV centuries belonging to the Champa nation. The place is a must to visit by all lovers of antiquities.
Sometimes michonne is compared with the complex of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the ancient capital of Thailand Ayutthaya, although the scope here is much more modest. The ruins a little, moreover, most of them almost nothing left. A great contribution to the destruction made by the American military during the war, virtually leveling the place to the ground. How to get there: the ruins of my son located 80 km from da Nang and 60 km from Hoi an town (ruins michonne on the map). Peninsula Sona Nui (Nui Son Tra)
The Peninsula is quite large, and it is the same mountain with several viewing platforms offering spectacular views of the Bay and Hai Van pass. Also interesting and beautiful the way on roads that wrap around the Peninsula, and uphill. As expected on monkey island, there are a lot of monkeys, squirrels, and, theoretically, to find rare species: languru, pheasants, zepetto. How to get there: the Peninsula on the map. To visit the Peninsula and the mountain from the viewing is best on a rented motorbike or car, in a pinch you can take a taxi. Can also be reached by buses No. 8 and 9 (5000 Dong to go to the isthmus on the Peninsula, and then walk or take a taxi), or on a special tourist route to the N2 (45,000 VND, goes to the temple and the statue of Guanyin).
The Chua Linh Ung temple and the giant Buddha statue
67-meter statue of Buddha located in the biggest temple of da Nang Chua Linh Ung is one of the symbols of da Nang and one of the biggest Buddha statues in Vietnam. The temple was originally built in the 18th century and was seriously rebuilt in the 20th century. The full name of the temple Chua Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda, a Buddha statue is actually a huge statue of the Goddess of mercy or Kuan Yin Linh Ung, also known as Lady Buddha.
The place is well worth a visit during a trip to the Peninsula Shona (Nui Son Tra), though to get here from the city is possible only by rented transport, taxi or tour. How to get there: the temple and the statue are on the Peninsula Sona about 10 kilometers from city centre (temple map). Better get here in a rented motorbike or car, taxi. Can also be reached by buses No. 8 and 9 (5000 Dong to go to the isthmus on the Peninsula, and then walk or take a taxi), or on a special tourist route to the N2 (45,000 VND, directly to the temple).
The Hai van pass (Hai Van Pass) runs through the Truong Son mountain 30 kilometers North of da Nang at an altitude of 496 metres. Earlier here there was the only road from da Nang North to hue, Vinh, etc. in the direction of Hanoi, but after the opening of the tunnel through the mountains in 2005, most of the traffic is now passing through a shorter route. However, via a tunnel do not allow motorcycles and bicycles.
But the pass passing is not only necessary, but also to admire the mountains, the South China sea and da Nang landscapes. Elephant Suoi Voi
These sources are located quite far from da Nang, more than 60 kilometers along the way in hue or in a national Park Batima. They are little known among tourists, mostly locals. Decidely usually a stop for travelers on the way from da Nang to hue, or you can combine a trip to the springs with a trip to the mountain pass of Hai Van Pass.
The area of the sources is quite large and consists of many framed stone pools of natural origin, formed by streams flowing down from the mountains. But it's not the thermal springs, the water is cold. In the pools you can swim (the water is not too cold), jump in the water, sunbathe, have a massage, eat, or drink beer, all for that there. Surrounded by dense forests on the slopes of the two mountains, between which and stretched the springs. The main pool is lined with rocks and resembles the head of an elephant, for which they received their popular name of "Elephant". You can go further from the Parking area and the main pool, and then you will get unequipped to natural pools where almost never anyone.

How to get there: the Springs are located about 60 kilometers North of da Nang on highway 1 (the sources on a map of da Nang). On the highway there is a pointer to the sources, then you need to drive another 6 kilometers.
Hot springs Nyon Phuoc (Phuoc Nhon)
These hot springs and mud baths are located at a distance of 25 kilometers from da Nang and attraction are not. But it's a wonderful place where you can mend your health, to relax and to get pleasure from the procedures. The complex is built on hot springs, gushing from the ground with a temperature of 55 degrees. Here is mine with mud, which are used for treatment.
There are several variants of procedures: hot mineral baths, mud baths, SPA, herbal baths. There is a restaurant.

How to get there: the springs are located 25 kilometers southwest of da Nang.
