The Park brings together three of the archipelago, Tarutao, Adang and Klang. The name of the national Park comes from the name of the main island of Pulau Tarutao (which means "old island").

Today Tarutao national Park attracts tourists because of its remoteness from the main tourist areas of Thailand. Here you can still feel the savagery and beauty of the white beaches. The underwater world is diverse and teeming with rare sea depths. In this context, tourists are eager to get to the national Park for diving and snorkeling. Visit the national Park for tourists paid 400 baht to 200 baht for children.

The diversity and richness of nature combined with warm, clear sea and white beaches, attracts fans to relax in peace away from civilization. And it's not even about staying in a remote hotel, and even about living in a tent on the beach in the wild. Thanks rated status, the Park has preserved a rich underwater world, the world of mammals and tropical animals. And flora of the Islands still amazes tourists with its originality and uniqueness.

The most famous resort of the Park is the island of Lipe (Ko Lipe). Although this island is a national Park under its jurisdiction, and access to it is free. Koh Lipe is very different from the other Islands in the Park its development. There are hotels and hostels of different price range and comfort level. There Kafa and restaurants, small shops, pharmacy, mini markets and travel agencies. The island has gorgeous sandy beaches, but the bottom is not everywhere conducive to carefree bathing, there are areas where at low tide expose the sharp corals. Travel agencies offer several options of diving and snorkeling, but only in permitted areas.

The second most popular island Park after Ko Lipe is the island of Tarutao. It is much less developed. Usually tourists do not spend the entire period of your stay, and stop at Tarutao for a few days on the way to Koh Lipe or back.

Tarutao island has a dark history. In the late 30-ies of the last century it was used to isolate political prisoners. The first jail built in 1936, it housed 500 people. It was subsequently expanded, and the number of prisoners increased to 3000.

During the Second world war food supplies from the mainland to the island ceased. The guards and prisoners began to die from hunger. To survive, they banded together and attacked the ship, passing by the island. During the war, suffered from robbery of about 130 ships.

On the island of Tarutao is the headquarters of the national Park (the Northern end). There is a small infrastructure near beach Mo Barking Bay. In this area white beach there is a restaurant, bungalows and a camping area. Tourists can rent bikes to explore the island.

AO San Bay is located on the island of Tarutao in the distance. Here you can rent a Bungalow or rent a tent for the night. This place is rightly recognized by travelers the most quiet and uncrowded on the island.

The main occupation on the island of Tarutao is relaxing on the beach, but if you want you can make trekking trips inland to waterfalls, climb mountains and explore caves. On some beaches you can snorkel. The ruins of the old prison can be viewed at Ao Taloh Udang.

But be careful while walking around the island, especially in its southern part. It is known that the southern part of the island is used by gangs who are trafficking people. In the jungle there are a few prisons where they contain your live goods. A couple of years ago, the police held a demonstration RAID and freed prisoners from several prisons. Part free the prisoners fled the island because they have nowhere to run, because in their countries they do not expect. These former victims are now living in the jungle and can also be dangerous.

Now the prices in Thailand when translated into roubles above, than in Russia. Some products, such as eggs or pork, generally almost twice as expensive. Well, it certainly is when compared with the province. So keep in mind, this is not a cheap country, as it was until 2014. ...

I have a strong opinion that trips to a guide which tells about the sights, only needed for historical sites. And considering that there are places on Samui not, then excursions are not necessary, if you are able to reach on their own. If you drive a motorbike, take it in rent and go, all you will see. ...
