General information on Pranburi
Pranburi (Pranburi) is a small town in the province of Prachuap Kiri Khan (Prachuap Khiri Khan Province) on the East coast of Thailand (Pranburi on the map of Thailand). Nearby popular resort is Hua hin, which is located in the same province, 30 kilometers to the North. Actually, Pranburi is on the coast and five miles from the coast, but its suburbs and beaches lie on the beautiful sandy beach. Pranburi is often referred to as one of the suburbs of Hua hin or one of its beaches.
Despite its low popularity among foreign tourists, Pranburi is a popular beach destination among local residents. In the city nothing to do, there are almost no hotels, but along the coast there is a road, along which are lined up and formed a real tourist area full of hotels and guesthouses. The decor is a rustic, very quiet, therefore, recommended to stay here for those who Hua hin seems too noisy. Even compared to Cha-am it's quieter and the beaches are among the best in the province. But do not think that there is a complete "backwoods". Along the beach road you can find several bars and restaurants open till late.

National Park Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

How to get to Pranburi
In Pranburi can be reached by bus from Bangkok, Hua hin, the southern resorts of Thailand. From Bangkok you can get a minivan from the station near the Victory Monument (200 baht) or on a big bus with a transfer in Hua hin. Similarly, from Bangkok international airport can be reached Hua hin, and then take a local bus to Pranburi for 30 baht. From Bangkok trains, timetable here http://www.railway.co.th/.
